uuggghhhh

So on Monday around 5 pm while I was at work I see my DH walk in with the 4 little ones with a very mean face on...he throws me our debit card and says you need to pay the cable bill because they juts shut it off..I pause of course thinking did I forget..I would not put it pass me. Then I say no its not due to the 15th of the month so I gave the cable company a call. Of course after on hold and press 2 for this and 1 for that I get a human...
I explain to him that our cable has gone off along with our telephone and Internet(they are all through them). He looks the info up and replies we see no disconnection in service for your house. I told him my Dh saw a guy go up the pole(and just in a dodge ram) and do something and it went off. The guy then tells me to call my neighbors to see if they still have service so I did and they did have service.

So I call back again and did the hold and press# thing and I got a lady who I will say was very nice...I had to explain everything to her again so she said the same thing as the man before her and then said let me do some research and I will call you back and she also gave me her direct number to just in case.

So my DH goes home to a house with no TV, Telephone who Internet. I also do not have cell phones either. So about 1 1/2 later I call the lady back and she explains that she is still trying to get someone to come out but I keep denied until 2 days later...(steaming) I am explaining again that I can not go without a phone with young children in the house and this is when you realize that no tv for 2 days just would not work with the little ones either.

Another hour goes by and a Supervisor calls me and says that no one can come out tonight but you are first on the list for Tues morning....and they will credit me for 24 hours. So easy going me did not put up a fight but I did ask what happened. She had no clue, she just said that its not my fault or their fault. Well of course I say then "who's fault is it?" She says well we have sub-contractors and they might have turned mine off by accident..well wouldn't you know that? Anyway our stuff got turned back on at 10(I guess they get a late start at this company) and I wonder now was this just some guy trying to steal cable and messed ours up....

KIDS THESE DAYS...

So my oldest went to his school dance last night(not his first). This is the first time I was off and was able to pick him up. I decided to get out of the car(unlike most parents) and walk up to the doors where they come out. SO the Dances lets out at 9 and there is about 300 kids (6th to 8th graders) coming out of the building and not all at one time. They dismiss them by sections and of course my son was in the last one"sigh" I stand there with no coat and its about 35 degrees(stupid me) but it was interesting to watch all these kids go by me. Some boys just had shorts and shirt and all this jewelry on and the smell of cologne. All had there cell phones out and it was not to call mom. Now this brings me to the girls...wow....the make-up and the way they dressed. I was in shock....and this is middle school.

So I am still standing there and some were with there parents and I just starred at amazement at the way they talked to there parents and parents just chuckle. One thing that stood out to me was a girl was standing next to me and placing a call on her phone. Her first words were "dad I am not coming home right now, I'll be home later" she walked away so I didn't get to hear everything but I wonder what the dad o nthe other end said.

So I get my son he says some goodbye to his friends and we head to our car. As we are leaving the parking lot the big SUV in front of us has three boys hanging out the windows yelling at the cars and doing all kind of hand gestures. So in the car next to me I notice other boys responding to the SUV and they drive off while this is still happening..maybe I am different but no way would that be happening in my car.

The funny thing is I am one of the youngest mothers with having a soon to be 13 year old at 30 and it seems like I have more sense then others.

My Christmas Wish LIst

Ok so hear a a few (alot) of things I am wishing for this Christmas. I know most of them are far fetched but its nice to dream and make them your goals for the upcoming new year...

1. I have to say a DIGITAL CAMERA...yes I have no camera...thank goodness for disposable but they never get developed.....

2. A neat clean organized house..now don't get me wrong we are not pigs but somehow when I get the clean house it never stays more than a few days.

3. For my youngest son to talk..he is 2 1/2 and just says Mamma..Yes I am blessed that there is nothing else wrong but its getting frustrated not to know what he wants.

4. To be financially stable.."sigh" Hopefully with Income Tax season this can be possible.

5. To become confident, organized and strict enough to start homechooling my kids.

6. To have a closer relationship with the Lord..I strayed away a little.

7. To become more of a better mother...falling behind in that Dept too...As my DH would say...my tutelage is crumbling. Need to be more structured at home with them

8. To be able to handle my oldest son hitting the teenage years with ease...he will be 13 in March

9. OK so this goes with the money wish...to able to cut down at work..I would be happy with 2 days a week

10. To make it to the spring with no Hospital visits..Jan-March are always rough.

11. Well I will keep this to myself since I would get slandered for even thinking this(ya Mothers of large families understand he he)

12. Well of course for the safety/health of all my family for 2008.

I could go on but Boys are getting into something..I just know it.

Blessings
Debbie
